MUMBAI: Ankita Lokhande rose to fame with the television show, Pavitra Rishta. Her role of Archana in the Zee TV show made her a household name.
She climbed the ladder by making her Bollywood debut recently with the film, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. She played the role of Jhalkari Bai in the film and received appreciation for her portrayal. In fact, she tasted success in Bollywood with her very first film as the film made an entry into the coveted 100 crore club.

On this, Ankita said to an entertainment portal, “Not really! I have not gone anywhere, and TV has always been very important to me. After Pavitra (Rishta), I took three years and then worked on a film. I just want to do good work, that is my only priority. If I get a good opportunity in films, then I want to pursue it. I don't want to regret 10 years later, thinking as to why didn't do films. I just want to give myself a good chance.” The actress further said to the portal that she dedicated six years to Pavitra Rishta and now it was time for her to work in films.
