MUMBAI : Television has always been the grandest of mediums and has been the audience's go-to for entertainment. The entertainment landscape has changed a lot over the years.

Now that there is a new wave of actors competing for TV series, people seek new stories of love and conflict. While the longevity of presentations has declined, the introduction of new age thinkers has undoubtedly aided in providing audiences with stories of inspiration and entertainment.

Actors have dominated the golden years of television for decades on end, commanding greater star power than certain Bollywood celebs.

But Television shows are really hard jobs that need a full-time commitment. Sometimes things don’t work out, and people have to quit the shows midway for whatever reason.

Sometimes, the reasons could be due to personal fallout, or maybe actors find better opportunities. Sometimes it could be due to creative differences or leaps in the shows. Here is a list of actors who left the television shows in 2022:

1. Sumbul Touqeer Khan:

Sumbul left the popular show Imlie for two reasons; one being that she did not want to play the role of an aged mother after a generation gap, and so she took that opportunity and participated in the 16th season of Bigg Boss.

 
2. Fahmaan Khan:

Fahmaan’s reasons for quitting Imlie were the same as Sumbul; the leap in the show. There were also rumours that Fahmaan quit the show to join Bigg Boss, but we later found out that he joined a new show titled Dharam Patni.

 
3. Simba Nagpal:

While there were many rumours about Simba quitting the show post the leap, he never did so. But now that the show is wrapping up, he quit the show ahead of it going off-air.

 
4. Ankit Gupta:

Ankit rose to fame with his stint in the show Udaariyaan as Fateh, but left the show as it took a generational leap. Another reason is said to be his participation in the reality show, Bigg Boss 16.

 
5. Priyanka Chahar Choudhary:

In her breakout role, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary rose to fame as Tejo on Udaariyaan. But similar to Ankit, Priyanka did not want to play the role of an aged mother. Another reason is said to be her participation in Bigg Boss 16, where she is currently one of the top contenders.

 
Whether it be for personal reasons or different professional reasons, these actors and these roles have definitely made a place in the hearts of the audience.
