Ashish Kapoor took to social media and posted for the first time about the alleged rape case and the legal battle.

MUMBAI: On 3rd September 2025, Television actor Ashish Kapoor was arrested by Delhi Police from Pune on charges of rape, following allegations made by a woman. The complainant claimed that Kapoor sexually assaulted her inside a washroom during a house party in the second week of August.

According to officials, the victim first came in contact with Kapoor through Instagram. In her initial statement, she named Ashish Kapoor, his friend, the friend’s wife, and two unidentified people in the FIR. However, she later revised her statement, alleging that it was only Kapoor who assaulted her. Followed by the complaint, Kapoor was sent to the judicial custody for 14 days.

And now, Kapoor has been released after apparently being proven innocent. Kapoor took to social media and posted for the first time about the incident. In a long note, Ashish thanked people who supported him and mentioned that he was grateful as justice was served.

Ashish wrote, "Following the recent incident, I'm filled with a deep sense of relief & gratitude. This experience has been a powerful reminder of the strength of our democracy & the principles enshrined in our constitution. I have full faith in the legal system, and this outcome has only strengthened that belief. The diligent work of everybody ensured that justice was served, and the truth was brought to light. This is a testament that truth will always prevail. I want to thank everyone who supported me during this tough time & express my profound appreciation for a system that protects the rights of every citizen."
