MUMBAI: ALTBalaji and ZEE5, two homegrown Indian OTT giants, have provided a full dose of wholesome entertainment in this lockdown period through their path-breaking content. After the resounding success of rom-com 'Virgin Bhasskar' which kept the audience on the edge of the seat, the two OTT players are all set to treat audiences with the much-awaited second season, as the shooting is all set to resume in the coming days.

The first season’s story is that of a boy next door turned adult novelist Bhasskar Tripathi, who is unable to lose his virginity despite getting the girl of his dreams, garnered huge numbers & was well received by the audience. The lead actor Anant Joshi who made his debut with this web-series also won many accolades for portraying the character of Bhasskar Tripathi. Season 02 follows Bhasskar and his gang trying to find the right ‘totka’ to end his virginity while trying to keep at bay the one person who could be just the right match not only for Bhasskar, but also Bad Boy! The second season will also witness a few additions to the main cast.
Excited and all set for season 2, actor Anant Joshi, who plays the lead character of Bhasskar Tripathi, quipped, “I am so excited and elated to hear that ALTBalaji and ZEE5 are coming up with the second season of Virgin Bhasskar. Since the release of the show, I have been receiving some really positive feedback from fans through their mails and messages speaking about how much they’ve loved the show as well as telling me how eager they are to see what will happen ahead. I have enjoyed playing ‘Bhasskar Tripathi’ so much that I was longing to live that character and to work with my fantastic co-actors all over again.”
Season 1 saw Anant Joshi, play the lead character of Bhasskar Tripathi, a man who wants to lose his virginity to the love of his life. Bearing the constant taunts of being a virgin, Bhasskar channelizes his frustration and feelings through an adult novel which turns out to be a best-seller. But his ‘Bad Boy’ character doesn’t go down well with his lady love Vidhi, played by Rutpanna Aishwarya. It will be an interesting watch on how the story moves forward in the second season, with Bhasskar winning the battle between love and lust. Will Bhasskar reunite with his first love or will he find another partner and finally lose his virginity? It sure remains to be an immersive watch as we find ourselves hooked to the screen in the upcoming second season.
