Yesterday's marathon meeting between Bollywood biggies and I&B minister doesn't seem to have impacted the CBFC makers in a big way for it was business as usual for them. After creating much trouble for NH10 and Dum Laga Ke Haisha, the makers have now trained their guns on Sara Loren starrer Barkhaa.
The movie which was sent for certification yesterday was sent back by CBFC with remarks stating objection to the usage of cuss words like s**la and r**ndi.
Confirming the same, the director of the movie Shadaab Mirza told us today, "Yes, they have asked me to beep out s**la and r**ndi. These words appear in the right context of the film. There is a sequence in which a girl is called by that name and she retaliates. But censor board has asked me to beep these words."
Fortunately, the board hasn't demanded chopping off any scenes. Shadaab is now looking at getting a 'A' certificate which he hopes will allow him to release his movie sans any cuts or beeps. "The movie is anyways meant for the age bracket of 18 to 80. I won't mind them giving me an adult certificate. I don't have the time to fight. I hope they certify it without any cuts," said a hopeful Shadaab.
Barkhaa starring Sara Loren and Tahaa Shah is slated to release on 27 March.
