Fight between Firoz Nadiadwala and Rajkumar Santoshi turns ugly

Friends-turned-foes Rajkumar Santoshi and Firoz Nadiadwala have now hit the legal pitch with the former suing the latter to the tune of Rs 10 crores. The entire issue snowballed into a big fight when a three-film deal - Power, Babajaan and an untitled project - between Santoshi and Nadiadwala went kaput. As per Rajkumar Santoshi, he was promised a sum of Rs. 45 crore by Nadiadwala but was paid Rs. 4.25 crore for Power, Rs. 91.5 lakh for Babajaan and Rs 25 lakh for the untitled venture. He further claims that since the projects were called off because of Nadiadwala, he owes him (Santoshi) 10 crores. Santoshi had earlier in the month filed an FIR against Nadiadwala for threatening and barging into his house without his permission. When Firoz was asked yesterday about his standoff with his former friend, Firoz appeared apprehensive and was evasive in his replies. “Woh jo mere se naaraz hain, who ek raaz hain jo aapko baad main pata chalega,” said Firoz (The fact that he is sad with me will remain a secret which I will reveal later). Firoz also wished Santoshi all the best before adding that the matter is sub-judice and will be dealt accordingly.
