John Abraham paired opposite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for Sanjay Gupta's next

Sanjay Gupta seems to have achieved a casting coup of sorts. After getting Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to sign the dotted lines for his upcoming next, Jazba, Sanjay has cast his favourite actor, John Abraham opposite the beauty queen. John had earlier come close to working with Aishwarya in Sriram Raghavan's Happy Birthday but things didn't fall in place then and the film got shelved. This time John immediately said 'yes' on hearing that Sanjay wants to pair him with Aishwarya. While John has collaborated multiple tines with Sanjay in the past, the movie will be Aishwarya's first with the director. John's role has reportedly been modelled on underworld don Abu Salem and his life after capture in India. Aishwarya, who was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish, made her official comeback announcement at Cannes, this year.
