OMG: Rati Agnihotri accuses husband of domestic violence; files police complaint

In a shocking development, yesteryear beauty, Rati Agnihotri filed a police complaint accusing her architect husband, Anil Virwani of domestic violence. In her complaint lodged, Rati has stated that Anil allegedly beat her on 7th March. She has further alleged mental and physical torture at his hands. Rati married Anil in 1985 while she was one of the leading ladies of Bollywood fresh after the success of Ek Duje Ke Liye. It is believed that squabble erupted between the couple after Anil started suffering losses in his business. The couple had a major showdown on 7th March at their Worli residence where Anil is alleged to have hit Rati. The 54-year old actress also reportedly has abrasions on her hand which is alleged to have been caused by the beatings. For the moment, the police has registered a case against Virwani under IPC sections 498A (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 350 (use of criminal force) and 506 (criminal intimidation). Rati and her actor son Tanuj couldn't be reached for a comment immediately.
