As part of charity, Salman Khan gifts cast and crew of Jai Ho Rs one lakh each

Salman Khan
Though his last film Jai Ho was not able to muster the kind of box office result that has been seen in all Salman Khan movies, the actor is happy with the response this film has been getting from the family audience. And to keep up with the theme of the film that is charity, Salman has started preaching the same in real life. Immensely happy with the work of the cast and crew and valuing their efforts, the actor distributed Rs. one lakh each by cheque from his personal account. The final tally of the distribution touched Rs. 2 crore, it is reported. No matter how small his contribution to the film, every person associated with the film from the lightman to the spot boy to every other people concerned were called over to the actor’s office and handed over the cheque. Though it was a small token, this act put a smile on everybody’s face. Observed Salim Khan on his son’s charity, “Salman and Sohail have given cheques of Rs one lakh each to the entire cast and crew. They are happy with their work. Sab ko dena chahiye. If they work for you and you don’t share your money with them, that’s unfair. But it is not something to be advertised nor is it done for publicity. There’s a different joy in giving.” Salman and his family are known to do charity. As a matter of fact, the Khan brothers have learnt the art of giving from their father who has been associated with charitable causes for umpteen years.
