Ranbir Kapoor lends his support to cancer patients

When a close relative of yours suffers from a malady for which there is no known medical cure, you can very well understand the agony associated with it. Not many know that Ranbir Kapoor’s bua suffers from the deadly disease - Cancer. The Kapoor lad himself made this revelation at Shaina NC’s ‘Fevicol Caring with Style’ Fashion Show held for aiding and assisting Cancer patients by raising funds for them. Pledging his continued support and contribution towards fighting this deadly disease, Ranbir said, “My bua has been battling cancer for 3 years now. I request all of you to join hands in spreading awareness about this disease so that it can be detected at an early stage and be dealt with. I urge you all to contribute to the cause in whatever little way you can.” Later in the evening, ace designers Vikram Phadnis and Shaina NC unveiled their fashion show which saw prominent figures including Ranbir Kapoor, yesteryear actress Sadhanaji, Vivek Oberoi, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Aditi Rao Hydari, Madhur Bhandarkar, Sakshi Tanwar, Terence Lewis, Gauahar Khan, Vidya Malwade, Bhagyashree, Amrita Rao, Tara Sharma amongst others dressed in creations of ace designers Vikram Phadnis and Shaina NC walking the ramp. The event also saw scintillating performances by Shankar Mahadevan with his son Sidharth, Neeti Mohan, and Sukruti, Akruti, and Prakruti Kakkar. The grand finale was however reserved for Terence Lewis who took everyone's breath away with a majestic aerial dance.
