Salman Khan and other Bollywood celebs in Delhi to attend Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony

Narendra Modi and Salman Khan
Two men will garner maximum eyeballs at Rashtrapati Bhavan – Narendra Modi and Salman Khan. Yes, Bollywood’s original l'enfant terrible arrived in Delhi to be a part of Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony. Dressed in black t-shirt and jeans, a glare sporting Salman emerged out of the airport looking quite happy. His father Salim Khan and Sohail Khan too have arrived to take part in the proceedings. The Khan family’s bonhomie with Narendra Modi has been well-documented. It all started with Salman Khan bonding with Modi in Gujarat just days before his film Jai Ho’s release. While the film bombed, their friendship stuck on. Later, Salim Khan too openly endorsed Modi by launching his Urdu website. After having lent their star support in Narendra Modi’s campaign, it’s natural to see the Khan family taking part in Modi’s swearing-in ceremony. The other Bollywood brigade to arrive in Delhi include Vivek Oberoi (Wonder if Salman and Vivek will bury their hatchet today), Anupam Kher, Madhur Bhandarkar. Modi’s ministry too will have a significant presence of Bollywood denizens like Hema Malini, Paresh Rawal, Smriti Irani and others who will be inducted into the ministry. Among those who wouldn’t be attending the ceremony include Southern legend Rajinikanth and Bollywood’s megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Rajinikanth reportedly will be busy shooting in Hyderabad while it was not very clear why Amitabh decided against attending. But to make up for their absence, their better halves would be present at Rashtrapati Bhavan when Modi would take his oath. We are sure Rashtrapati Bhavan has never ever witnessed such a gathering where A-listers of Bollywood have come assembled in good numbers to express their solidarity and support for one man – Narendra Modi. But then such is the charisma of the man that even his b?te noire Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif couldn’t say no and gleefully arrived to witness Modi’s biggest political coronation. Let’s hope our new Prime Minister leads India to greater heights in the coming days.
