Himmanshoo Malhotra bags Karan Johar’s Sher Shah

MUMBAI: Actor Himmanshoo Malhotra has bagged Karan Johar’s upcoming film titled Sher Shah.

The film is a biopic on Kargil hero and Param Vir Chakra recipient Vikram Batra. Sher Shah is an inspiring story of Captain Vikram Batra, an Indian Army officer, who was martyred in the Kargil War at the age of 24.

The movie will feature Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. It will mark the Bollywood debut of Vishnu Varadhan, who is known for directing several Tamil and Telugu hits.

Himmanshoo has featured in many TV shows and has done films like Wajah Tum Ho, Raazi, and Hum Chaar.

Himmanshoo announced being a part of the film by sharing a post on Instagram stating, ‘Embarking a new journey’.
