Arun Govil watches Ramayan rerun with family

MUMBAI: Actor Arun Govil, who starred as Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan, occupied the top spot on Monday's list of trends after a photograph of him watching the popular TV series along with his family went viral on social media. The picture was originally shared by a fan club on Instagram.

Ramayan, which was written, produced, and directed by Ramanand Sagar, is being re-telecast on Doorsarshan. The show also featured Deepika Chikhalia and Sunil Lahri as Sita and Lakshman respectively and first aired in 1987.

With no new episodes left to be aired on television amidst the lockdown, TV channels are airing the reruns of a few popular old shows.
