MUMBAI: This weekend, Sony Entertainment Television is all set to present viewers its new offering, ‘Aapka Apna Zakir’. Promising ‘Khushiyon Ki Guarantee’ and ‘Manoranjan ka Waada’, the show will see the ever-popular comedian, poet, and actor, Zakir Khan, making his television debut as a host! Joining Zakir Khan in this light-hearted show will be the talented Shweta Tiwari, Rithvik Dhanjani, Gopal Datt, and Paresh Ganatra, who will add their unique charm to the episodes. Joining Zakir as the first celebrity on this refreshing talk show will be renowned director and producer, Karan Johar.
At his candid best, Karan Johar poured out his heart, speaking about his beloved father and his illustrious journey thus far in Bollywood. He also went on to speak about the Badshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan. He recounted an incident where SRK displayed immense respect for his father, treating him with the utmost reverence and how Shah Rukh expressed his desire to work with Karan as a director, marking the beginning of Karan's journey as a filmmaker.
Karan Johar shared, "I remember Shah Rukh was shooting for Karan Arjun in Filmcity and I had gone on the set with my father. Shah Rukh was standing quite far away in an orange shirt and when Dad got out of the car, SRK came running towards him, just to greet him. I was shocked to see this and even my dad was so overwhelmed by it. And then Shah Rukh saw me and asked so many questions; I was blown away by him as I had never met somebody so respectful before. Shah Rukh is more than just a king; he is an emperor of a human being. Not only is he an exceptional actor, but also an extraordinary human being and I respect him a lot. This quality of his is the reason why he is showered with so much love from all. I met him during DDLJ again where I was an assistant and handling costumes; he saw me working with so much passion that he expressed his desire to do a film directed by me someday; the faith that he showed in me is a big reason why I am here today.”
