Last week's episode of Dr B K Modi's Buddha - Rajaon Ka Raja on Zee TV saw Buddha reaching the Saal van (forest) and getting into a sleeping position in order to attain Mahaparinirvaan.
This week, viewers will see Buddha (Himanshu Soni) getting into the mode of Mahaparinirvan with a broad smile on his face.
Before embracing his Nirvana, Buddha will take in an ascetic by name Subaddha as his last disciple. He will teach him the Noble Eight Fold Path and Subaddha will happen to be Buddha's last disciple. Buddha will explain to his bhikkus that if there is birth, there is always death. After speaking his final lines, Buddha will close his eyes and will pass into Nirvana, in a position where he would be seen sleeping with his body to the right side and left leg over the right one. This position actually will symbolize Mahaparinirvan. With a smile on his face, and with a look as if age has not caught on him, Buddha would not look tired at all.
Later, it will be shown that many Kings would come to pay their last respects to Buddha before his funeral would take place. His relics will be divided into nine portions and will be given to all who claim to get a share of the Lord's remains.
Ajatashatru will then ensure that all representatives from the kingdoms of Magadh, Vaishali, Shakya, Bulaya, Pava, Vetha who have got the relics would build a stupa for Buddha.
