MUMBAI :Imlie is one of the most loved and successful shows on television. We saw a huge leap in the show after which Imlie and Chini are all grown up. The latest plot has been about Atharva and Imlie’s life post-marriage. Atharva still loves Chini and she is constantly trying to create issues between Atharva and Imlie.
Chirag Mehra recently entered the show. He is portraying the role of Abhishek, the guy Rupali has found for Chini to get married. The show is doing exceptionally well and the audience loves the track of the show.
Chirag Mehra appeared in the web series Code M, and the film Zwigato. He has done various commercials and episodic crime shows.

Tellychakkar recently got in touch with the actor and got to know interesting insights about the show and his character.
What was the 1st day of the show like?
“It was really fun. Everyone is so warm. Anyone who comes here has a warm feeling for them. Everything on set was extensively explained to me as to what they wanted from my character. So this was something I was looking forward to. I have done TV in the past but I am not from a TV background, I do films and commercials. There was a skeptical feeling at the end of the day but when I reached the set, everything was so nice and professional that I felt amazing being there. It was a lovely feeling.”
What can the audience expect from the plot now that you have entered the show?
“My character Abhishek is a nice guy and his track will be positive. He is a really career-driven guy and he is proud of what he has achieved, he is not at all snooty about it. He has a certain experience of life as even though he is young, he has achieved a lot. He is really honest and he is trying to test Chini as of now to understand what kind of a person she is.”
What are your expectations from the show and your character?
“Honestly, I have done negative shades on television before so I was looking for something positive. So what has been given to me is what I was expecting and was looking forward to in my career where I get to try the positive shade. I wish my character is somebody who, when the audience looks at them, has a smile on their face and people empathize with him.”
