MUMBAI: After winning viewers over with his bad-boy character as Siddhant Sinha in &TV's Ghar Ek Mandir-Kripa Agrasen Maharaja Ki, popular actor Ankit Bathla also played the role of Vedant Sinha, the good lawyer who is out to get justice for the people. 

Fans have loved Ankit on the show and the duality he showed while playing these two polar opposite characters. 

Ankit is known for his portrayal of Madhav in Beta Hi Chahiye, Dhruv Pandey in Thapki Pyar Ki, and Akshay Khanna in Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh, Piyaji.

TellyChakkar had exclusively reported that Ankit will be starring in a Bollywood murder mystery 'Do Ajnabee' with Arya Babbar.

TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor to talk about his upcoming movie, working in OTT, and returning to TV shows.

You have a new movie coming out called ‘Do Ajnabee’, how excited are you?

I am very excited about this movie because of the place that we shot in. We shot in Nanital, in the middle of the snow. It was the first time it snowed in Nanital in 20 years. That makes the movie more interesting to me. The movie is a murder mystery with a very interesting climate. 

With the OTT space expanding, would you want to explore that and what is your opinion on the same? 

I always say that as an artist, I always want to act and the medium doesn’t matter, be it television, OTT, or films. What really matters is what we really crave, which is entertainment. 

Are there any new projects that you are working on, what can you tell us about them?

I am working on a new web series right now, which is based on doctors and I am shooting for it in Bangalore right now. I am quite excited about that as well because I always wanted to become a doctor when I was a little kid and this gets me really close to that. 

You’ve been a part of a lot of interesting projects in TV, are you still open to doing TV or would you want to focus on another medium? 

I came to Bombay with a television show, but I am open to any medium because as I said, as an actor, I have wanted to play different roles, different characters. The medium doesn’t matter.

The movie Do Ajnabee stars Raj Babbar and Ankit Bathla, and will be directed by Sanjeev Singh Rajput.
