MUMBAI : Saumya Saraswat was previously a part of the Colors TV show Pishachini playing the role of Nikita Rajput. She is currently essaying the role of Keya, Akash’s wife, in Star Plus’popular, show Imlie post the leap.
She is playing a grey shade character and the audience is loving it.
Tellychakkar recently got in touch with the actress and got to know interesting insights about the show and his character.
Do you wish to play a stronger character that has more input and contribution to the plot?
“Yes, of course. I think every actor wants that. The character I am currently playing is also having a strong impact because I have heard people abusing me for whatever I am doing on the show. So, I feel I am creating an impact.”

How is your bond with Jitendra and the rest of the cast?
“Everyone is so amazing here. In fact, Jeet (Jitendra) and I are really good friends. We keep hanging out apart from the shoot as well. We met even during Diwali, he had come to my house and it was a really sweet gesture. The rest of the cast is amazing too. It is interesting to work with different categories and age groups of people, you get to know a lot about every age and stage of life. My bond with everyone is really strong.”
What are your thoughts about the current track with Chini staying at the Rana house and creating so much of a ruckus?
“It is quite different as to how people are taking a stand for women in this show, and how Imlie is shown as our hero. It is quite amazing and I guess it is grasping if we see it from a woman’s point of view.”
