MUMBAI :Imlie is one of the top most shows and the audience loves the track. We saw a huge turn in the plot post the leap.
A new set of characters were introduced in the plot with Megha Chakraborty playing the titular character and Karan Vohra playing Atharva.
Seerat Kapoor is playing Cheeni’s character. She is a grey shaded character and is determined to get what she wants no matter how. The audience loves her in her element and praises her performance a lot.
Tellychakkar recently got in touch with the actress and got to know some interesting insights.
Before the leap on the show, the previous cast members received a lot of love. Do you feel a sense of pressure living up to the set standards?
“This feeling was there during the beginning of the show post the leap. Everyone was expecting that we will show connections and relationships of the previous cast members with the current characters. We try to maintain that as much as possible. Talking about the performance, they all were brilliant performers and we also tried our best to justify our work, not comparing ourselves with anyone.”

Chini is a grey shade character who is constantly trying to beat Imlie but her plans mostly backfire. How do you feel about playing such a character?
“It is interesting because playing a grey shade character is a completely different thing. Playing a character where you can do literally anything, that is what makes playing Chini more fun. Of course, her plans fail at a point but she feels good while planning those things, thinking that they will be successful. Sometimes, she gets successful with her plans. So the ups and downs keep happening. Talking about Chini being a grey character, I believe every human being is grey and Chini is always extra. It is her character that wants what she wants no matter what. She is proudly selfish and cares about her benefit.”
Who do you gel with the most on the set?
“We have a really good time while shooting. The Rathore family always keeps having fun together. Now the Rana family is also there and whenever we all are shooting together, it is a “hum aapke hai kaun” situation. I just love it because all of us sit together whenever there is a break or the shot is being set up. We talk about fun stuff or make reels.”
