MUMBAI: Sony SAB’s Vanshaj is a show that delves into the fiery conflicts within the Mahajan household commonly centered around inheritance norms. At the heart of the show, is Yuvika (Anjali Tatrari), who finds herself pitted against her cousin DJ aka Digvijay Mahajan (Mahir Pandhi) in a battle for the leadership of the Mahajan empire.
It is not unusual for the actors to be visited by their fans on the set who come from all across their country to meet them. However, actors, Mahir and Anjali, were in for a pleasant surprise when their young fans came to see them. Not only were these young fans excited to meet their favourite characters, but also presented them with their beautiful portraits which they had sketched for them. As the fans nervously approached, the actors, Mahir and Anjali warmly engaged with them. They spent the morning chatting, signing autographs, and capturing cherished selfies, deeply touched by the heartfelt effort displayed in each sketch.
Mahir Pandhi, who essays the role of Digvijay Mahajan, said, “It was truly heartwarming to see the excitement and joy on the young fans faces when they came to meet us on the set. Seeing their sketches of my character was very humbling. It’s surprising that despite being a villain, DJ is loved by so many people. I receive so many fan arts from people on social media but seeing a hand-made sketch was really emoitonal. Moments like these remind us of the far-reaching impact of our work. It's a powerful reminder that every effort we put into our roles is not just for the screen but touches lives in ways we can't always imagine. These experiences are what make the journey truly worthwhile.”
Anjali Tatrari, who essays the role of Yuvika Mahajan, said, “It was amazing and beautiful to see the sparkle on the faces of the young fans when they came to meet me and Mahir on the set. Fans telling you that they joined drawing classes especially to draw our character sketches instead of going to their Grandparent's house in the summer vacations is very motivating for us as actors. I always wanted to become an actor as I had a passion for acting but to get so much selfless love and blessings from unknown people across all age-groups is very inspiring. Whenever something like this happens, it makes you feel like all the hard work that you have put in for the role has paid off. I live for these moments.”
