MUMBAI: BBC Production is bringing the Indian adaption of the popular international mockumentary The Office. The project is slated to stream on Applause Entertainment’s upcoming OTT platform.

TellyChakkar has all the exclusive updates regarding the upcoming digital series. The project, according to TellyChakkar’s exclusive information, is helmed by Bollywood’s biggie director Rohan Sippy. The Indian film director, who has directed popular flicks like Bluffmaster! (2005), Dum Maaro Dum (2011) and Nautanki Saala (2013), will be making his digital debut with this show.

Coming to the cast of the web-series, the makers have roped in two big names for the project. Popular Indian actor and model, Gauahar Khan has bagged a pivotal role in the series. Khan, 34, essays the head of the department in the narrative. Gauahar has been part of many reality shows including Bigg Boss 7, Khatron Ke Khiladi and Jhalak Dikhhlajaa. The actress was last seen in 2017’s Begum Jaan where her character was much appreciated.

Gauahar’s Khatron Ke Khiladi colleague Ranvir Shorey is also an integral part of the digital programme. The actor and former VJ, Shorey plays a pivotal role in the story. We couldn’t dig more information on his character.

Both the popular actors are the pillars of the story.

The British TV show, a sitcom in nature, has been remade in nine different countries including America. With the Indian version, the Office franchise will hit the Asian zone.

The Indian adaption will have around 30 episodes and will stream by the month of July.

Isn’t that exciting? So, gear up for the series! It will indeed be interesting to see Gauahar and Ranvir together on the screen.
