He was supposed to catch a flight from Delhi to Mumbai on April 22, 2024, but he didn't board the flight and disappeared. Unable to contact his son for days, Gurucharan's father filed a missing person report on April 26, 2024. The actor returned to his Delhi home on May 17, 2024. However, it seems the saga is far from over as recent reports suggest a court hearing related to the case may take place on Monday.
According to a recent report by Times Now, Gurucharan Singh's friend, MS Soni, stated that there might be a court hearing related to the case on Monday. MS Soni, Gurucharan's close friend, was in touch with the media and the actor's family when he disappeared. Soni was the person who was supposed to receive him at the Mumbai airport on April 22, 2024, but the actor never boarded the flight. Soni revealed that a police official informed her yesterday that the actor has returned home and is safe. She further mentioned that the actor shouldn't have left home without informing his parents, which was wrong. Soni shares that it's not surprising to her that the actor wanted to cuit off from the world for sometime as she knew that he wanted to embark on a spiritual journey. She knows that her friend was inclined towards spirituality, which she and the actor's family members conveyed to the police.
While most fans are relieved that the actor is finally back, some are calling it a publicity stunt. It's being said that if the actor had simply wanted to take a break from the world and pursue a spiritual path, he could have done so by informing his parents, thus avoiding this whole police involvement.
