Latest development on comedian Kiku Sharda’s arrest on hurting the religious sentiments of the followers of Dera Chief Guru Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.
Kiku was taken into a 14 day judicial custody for a complaint filed-by the followers of the Godman -against him for mimicking the Dera Chief at a televised event.
He was apparently shooting for the last episode of Comedy Nights with Kapil- where he is seen as the popular Palak- when cops from Haryana arrested him and took him along with them.
A visibly shaken Kiku issued multiple apologies.
And the latest development is that the Dera Chief has accepted the apology and forgiven the comedy star.
His tweet said:
I was busy shooting OnlineGurukul; just got to know, devotees are hurt due to Kiku's action.If he has apologized, no complaint from my side
