Kratika Sengar: I have proved my versatility on television

A page from the personal diary of Kratika Sengar Hello fans!!! I am Kratika Sengar and people know me as Aarti from the show Punar Vivah. I hail from Kanpur and in my family I have my dad, mom and younger brother. Having finished my schooling there, I graduated in Mass Media and Advertising from Delhi. Later, I came to Mumbai to do my internship when I worked in an ad agency for Hungama TV. During my college days, there was a friend of mine who was a filmmaker. One fine day, he offered me to play a role in his short film which he later presented to Ekta Kapoor. Some days later, I got a call from Ekta ma’am saying that she loved my acting. To my surprise, she also told me that she had shortlisted me for a role of Prerna (P2) in Star Plus’s Kasautii Zindagii Kay. After having done that, I did many shows like Kyaa Dill Mein Hain, Aahat, Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. Besides, I was also part of a reality show Lux Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket. Later, to show my versatility, I grabbed an opportunity to play the lead role of Laxmibai in Jhansi Ki Rani. While doing this role, I got special training in horse riding, martial arts and sword fighting. I was humbled when people from all across the world appreciated my role. Now, to do something completely different from my earlier roles, I am currently playing Aarti in Punar Vivah. I think my journey till now has been great. My mom and dad have always been very supportive to me and I always try to bring a smile on their face. In Mumbai, I live with my cute cuddly puppy Donut. I love spending time with him to unwind myself. I also go for a long drive as I seriously love driving. I thank all my fans and wish them a great life ahead!!!
