MUMBAI: Star Plus' one of the most beloved shows - Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin is being lauded both by its critics and viewers, owing to its spicy and twisty plotline.
Herein, telly actors like Ayesha Singh, Neil Bhatt, Aishwarya Sharma, Yogendra Vikram Singh, Kishori Shahane, Shailesh Datar, Yash Pandit and Bharati Patil play the pivotal on-screen characters of Sai Chavhan, Virat Chavhan, Patralekha (Pakhi) Chavhan, Samrat Chavhan, Bhavani Chavhan, Ninad Chavhan, Pulkit Deshpande and Ashwini Ninad Chavhan in Star Plus' popular show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin.
According to the initial storyline, ACP Virat Chavhan (played by Neil Bhatt) falls in love with his former love interest Pakhi aka Patralekha (played by Aishwarya Sharma). However, with a lack of communication, Patralekha's alliance gets fixated on Virat's cousin brother Samrat. On the other hand, fate binds Virat's story with that of Inspector Kamal Joshi's daughter Sai Joshi (played by Ayesha Singh), who hails from a small village named Gadchiroli.
The duo initially tie the knot just for namesake. However, as the storyline progresses, looks like Virat has fallen in love with his namesake wife Sai instead, owning to her naiveness and honesty. Meanwhile, Pakhi joins hands with the show's real antagonist and the family's seniormost member Bhavani (played by Kishori Shahane), to oust Sai from both the Chavhan family and Virat's life.

Currently, Sai is portrayed as a headstrong feminist figure who performs every ethically righteous act and she fearlessly goes against all odds to outshine in her challenges. Her determination makes Virat fall for her over and over again while Pakhi's enmity and jealousy drift her away from Virat's attention. For the biggest twist so far and the show's current plot, Samrat (Patralekha's real husband), who had left the Chavhan family post-knowing Virat-Pakhi's past love story, is now back in the Chavhan Niwas owing to Virat-Sai's insistence.
Samrat is back to divorce Pakhi and free her for Virat. However, owing to Virat's marriage with Sai and SaiRat's feelings for each other, seems like Samrat is slowly gaining back his lost confidence in his failed marriage with Pakhi. Though Pakhi is still in deep love with Virat, she manages to befriend Samrat and manipulate him as per her desires, which, unfortunately, Samrat assumes as her growing feelings for him and the kindling of her faith in their marriage. However, he refrains from being an assertive husband towards her.
Though the duo is sceptical of their real feelings for each other, they deny having any sort of connection forth the public. Hence, Pakhi-Samrat may be distant from each other but the duo interestingly shares an intriguing bitter-sweet chemistry.
