We were the first ones to document the development pertaining to an upcoming project on Zee TV, a court room drama, titled The Judgement (Zee Networks’ The Judgement scraps its cast).
Initial rounds of casting saw names of Shraddha Arya, Punit Tejwani, Amit Behl, Neeta Shetty and Shishir Sharma.
However, in a creative turn of events, the names were again tossed in the air for selection, with few plopping to the floor.
As of latest info that we are privy to, Amit Behl and Punit Tejwani continue to hold on to the project casting string, while others have faced the axe.
Shraddha Arya has been replaced by burgeoning actress Reenaa Aggarwal (episodics experience). She, as per sources, fits the bill and will depict the prominent part of an advocate.
To clear the miasma, the courtroom drama will have three permanent characters, while other faces will walk in and out depending on the story being played out. Each tale or case will tentatively run for a month’s period.
Punit will enact the role of a professor married to Reenaa-the lawyer. Manoj Chandila (currently seen in Devanshi in Colors) is the third pivot in the plot, wherein he will be seen as a sleuth.
Amit, name mentioned above, will be part of the first story of the show.
Produced by RRD Productions, the series is set to hit screens from February or March 2017 at an early evening slot (yet to be confirmed).
Reenee and Manoj remained unavailable while channel spokesperson did not comment till the time of filing the article.
