Saurabh Agrawal: Shooting outdoors was great fun, it was actually more like a workstation

MUMBAI: Saurabh Agrawal says that there is a feel-good factor about coming back to his home in Mumbai. The actor plays the character of Vipul in Sonali Jaffar and Amir Jaffar’s TV production Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha. When the second Covid wave hit India and the number of cases started rising in April, a lockdown was announced in Mumbai. This led to many shows shifting base to Goa, Gujarat and Silvassa, a city in Dadra and Nagar Haveli, for over two months. When things started getting under control and the state government permitted shoot in the city again following strict SOPs, most of the TV shows returned to the city.

Happy to be back, the actor adds that the outdoor schedule was fun too. “Shooting outdoors was great fun, it was actually more like a workstation. We were working, enjoying ourselves and our producers took care of us well. It was a lovely experience. I am more into meditation and spirituality and reclusive by nature, but during this time together we all spend quality time together and bonded well. While in Silvassa,I remember the hotel served us vada paav as an evening snack and I got excited because I was missing it while being away from Mumbai,” he says.

The show introduced new twists and turns to keep audiences entertained while also incorporating a shift in location. Saurabh is happy about the response around these developments.

“The family track along with issues happening between the lead pair that is in focus now is interesting. Vipul goes to a hotel and lies to Rajvee (Narayani Shashtri). He wanted to watch the India versus Australia cricket match in peace and without disturbing anyone. Rajvee doubts his intention and starts investigating only to find out that he was meaning no mess. On the other hand the relationship between Darsh (Vijayendra Kumeria) and Nandini (Richa Rathore) is taking a different turn. While we are also enjoying being part of different stories, the audiences too are enjoying the experience,” he adds.

Heaping praises on the producers, the actor adds, “They are wonderful people. With them around we can’t have any complaints at all. We were just taken care of so well. Not only the actors, the whole unit, everything was just perfect and well managed. We are very lucky that we got such producers and a good channel and a good team.”
