MUMBAI: After winning viewers’ hearts with two seasons, Sony TV and Frames is all set to enthrall viewers with the third season of Super Dancer.

The kids’ dancing reality show will continue to have the trio of judges Anuraag Basu, Shilpa Shetty, and Geeta Kapur. In addition, Rithvik Dhanjani and Paritosh Tripathi will yet again entertain with their hosting skills.

At the launch of the show, the judges promised to have never before like talent in the show and the competition is going to get tougher.

Talking more about the new season and continuing to be part of Super Dancer, Bollywood sensation Shilpa Shetty shared, ‘This time, the kind of talent you will see in the show is going to be better from previous seasons. The competition is going to be ten notches higher. We were shocked to see kids of four to six years floor us with their moves. It was difficult for us to select the kids, as all had something unique about them. The kids have done various dance forms with sheer perfection.’

We asked her what would be different, and she replied, ‘Kids under the age of five were exceptionally good, and this is something new that viewers can look forward to. Kids at that age say really some funny things so that’s what makes great TV’

Since the judges have been the same for all the seasons, does is get easy to connect?

‘Yes, definitely! We all are like a family. Not only judges but also the entire unit is the same. I never feel that I have come to work. Kids makes us feel come to life. The only thing that keeps us alive is the talent that each kid presents every time.’

In addition, do you think you connect with the show well as even you have a young son, so the motherly feeling comes naturally. ‘Yes, I do feel the special connection with all the kids that come to our show. And as Super Dancer goes on for six months, you get attached to the kids, and after a point, you don’t want to eliminate them. It is also difficult to judge the show, as kids are very sensitive and we have to make them understand in a certain way without hurting or demotivating them.’

We asked Shilpa if his son Viaan watches the show and tries some moves at home, ad she said, ‘Yes, all the time. Super Dancer is a very inspiring show to a lot of children.’

What makes Super Dancer unique?

‘Our show is set a benchmark for its honest content. Nothing is contrived. Even the camaraderie between the judges is natural. You won’t believe that we are not been given any script apart from the list of sponsors,’ she said.
